King Edward's pupils selected for representative team
William Taylor and Andrew Crossley have been selected to play for the Independent Schools FA (ISFA) South team against Kent School on Sunday 26th September.Both players have enjoyed an excellent start to the season, and have attracted the attention of the selectors.

Timberlake Wertenbaker’s play ‘Our Country’s Good’ passionately states the case for the theatre as evidence of civilisation and the possibility of
improvement and education for those who are prepared to listen. Never was this more pertinent than in the current economic gloom, albeit that the original setting of the play is Sydney in the 1700s.
On a gloriously sunny day, art lovers from all over the South East of England headed for King Edward’s School, Witley, for the opening of the 13th VivArtis Arts Festival on Sunday 27th September.
On Sunday, 27th September, (at the Opening of the King Edward’s School VivArtis Art Exhibition and Sculpture Trail), Mrs Jane Stopford Russell, Chair of the Haslemere branch of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies, presented the prizes to the winners of the Junior and Prep Schools Art Competition.
The summer holidays are for visiting new places and making new friends, and for a party of 13 pupils and staff from King Edward’s School Witley this year was to be no exception. The team were heading for Northern India, and the State of Himachal Pradesh in order to trek in the Himalayas.

This year saw a return to the normal format for the Annual Sports event with all the major finals taking place on the day. The school athletics track on Upper Gurdon’s was in superb condition thanks to the fine weather and the attention of the ground staff.
King Edward’s School hosted a Maths Challenge and Science Day last Thursday where nearly sixty Year 5 and 6 children from nine local (Surrey) schools enjoyed a day of experimentation and testing.
Around thirty GCSE and A Level students took part in an exciting Fashion Show on Sunday, 26th April in front of a very appreciative audience of fellow pupils, staff and parents.
