Andrew is a centre midfield player and Matthew is a goalkeeper. Mathew had never played as goalkeeper before joining King Edward's School, but has developed his goalkeeping and benefitted from specialist goalkeeping coaching that he has received from the school. Andrew, who also plays for Chertsey Town, scored a hatrick in a recent school match against Box Hill and impressed the selectors with his outstanding skills.

.

Both boys will represent the Southern Squad in a match against Essex County on Sunday 15th November at Brentwood School.

Daniel Abraham, a professional coach and Director of Footballat King Edward's commented "It is a tremendous achievement for the school to have two players selected for this prestigious squad. The school has developed numerous talented players and Andrew and Matthew have worked hard to improve their football since joining the school. We hope that both players will be put forward forthe ISFA National squad later in the season."
