AT WEST SURREY GOLF CLUB

Dear Old Witleian and Friends,

I am sure that many of you will be delighted that we have managed to organise this year’s championship at West Surrey Golf Club, where it was held for many years. My thanks go to Ivor Caplin for making this arrangement possible and I do hope that, despite the inevitable increase in price, everyone will make a special effort to attend. The intention is to alternate between West Surrey and Milford Golf Clubs every other year.

The programme for the day will be:

12 noon Meet at West Surrey Golf Club for soup and sandwiches;

12.45 1^st groups tee off in groups of 4;

14.30 Last groups tee off;

18.30 Last group finishes;

19.00 Drinks Reception in the Dance Studio, King Edward’s School;

20.00 Dinner and presentation of prizes at King Edward’s School

The charges for entries are:

OW and parent entries £70 (under-25 £55), inclusive of snack lunch, round and dinner;

£50 (under-25 £35) for round only;

Pupil entries £55, inclusive of snack lunch, round and dinner;

£35 round only;

All £25 supper only

.

As in previous years, we are very pleased if you bring guests and we look forward to seeing them again. Do try to persuade others to join us this year, even if they have not participated before. Last year we had an increased number of parents of current pupils and I hope that more will attend this year.

If you would like to sponsor prizes, or provide prizes for a raffle (proceeds go to the Annual Giving Fund), then please let me know. There will be the prizes for OWs, Guests, Parents, Senior and Lower School pupils as well as the permanent trophies for each category.
