West Surrey has recently celebrated its Centenary and is one of Surrey’s top golf courses, with a traditional and attractive layout sweeping through a wooded and hilly landscape. Designed by the renowned golf course architect Herbert Fowler in 1910, it has recently had all its greens re-laid to USGA standards, to make the golfing experience even better. It is therefore a real coup to be able to play our Championships at West Surrey, which is also just a five minute drive from King Edward’s.
Milford Golf Club, which has successfully hosted our last couple of Championships, is still the School’s official ‘home course’ for inter-school matches and the excellent coaching team there will continue teaching our pupils throughout the year. We intend to alternate the annual Championships between the two courses.
..
As usual, the OWs Championship will also be combined with a competition for current staff and pupils, making it one of the rare occasions in the year when all three parties get together. It promises to be a really fun and exciting day for the golfing enthusiasts amongst us! Further details on how to book will be available in due course – in the meantime, if you have any questions, please speak to Mr Gwyn Phillips at King Edward’s, who will be organising the day’s events.
.
Entry forms and the programme for the day will be sent out shortly and appear on this website.
