New Look to OW Reunion at KESW

Over a hundred OW’s from the 1940s to the current day gathered at Witley for the annual reunion. For the first time, sporting fixtures had been arranged between OW sides and the School in the afternoon and this attracted some recent leavers to attend and participate.
OW Reunion on Saturday 8th October 2011

This will take place at the school from 10.00 am and it is still possible to join us and book lunch.

The programme will include sports fixtures in the afternoon for the first time for a long time. There is going to be a triangular football tournament between two OW sides and a School X1.
.
The third week in June saw three OW and School Sports Fixtures take place.
.
On Friday 17th June some 50 competitors took part in the 32nd Golf Championship at Milford Golf Club. Steve Rayment won the OW Men's event and Harriet Swinerd the OW Ladies section.
.
On Sunday 19th a youthful OW X1 took on the School 1st X1 at Cricket. On a rain affected pitch they lost both matches. Meanwhile a small group of OW's were playing Mixed Tennis against staff and pupils.

The 2011 combined School and OW Golf Championship will be held on Friday 17th June at Milford Golf Club. The format will be the same as previous years, with a dinner held at the school to celebrate the 32nd Anniversary of the competition.
KESPA would like to invite all OWs to an ‘Enchanted Summer Ball’ on Friday, 8th July.

The School and OW Golf Championship was well supported with 57 players and the main results are now available.

The OW v School 1st X1 Cricket match ended in a draw with the school's tail end batsmen resisting the spin attack of the OW's.

OW's, staff and pupils took part in a tennis tournament on Sunday - the first time this event was held.
.
