About the Association |

The aims of the Association are to promote social activities and contact between members and enable members to be of mutual support and assistance to each other; as well as to encourage members to maintain and extend an interest in the welfare of the school. Friends of the School, and parents of past pupils,
are also invited to subscribe as Associate Members to receive magazines, newsletters and invitations to events.

Current message from the Chairman
We hope that you all had a wonderful Easter break! Our most recent reunion was held back in March at the London Enterprise Pub in Holborn. It’s a terrific pub with an excellent host, Nick, who happens to be an OW.
For further details and to see who went along, please see our 2012 events page. The aim is to continue to have OW functions there and another date is being set for September.
On Sunday 18th the OWs’ played mixed hockey against the school narrowly losing 4-3. Well done for turning out and playing such a close game!
The next sporting event is the Golf Day June 22nd. It is always a very enjoyable day and this year shall be Gwyn Phillips last as a member of staff at KES. So let's make it a special day. There is dinner in the evening at school.
Old Witleians' Day this year will be on 13th October. Plans are already afoot to celebrate the girls/ladies rejoining King Edwards, at Witley, 60 years ago. Amongst the events will be a mixed soccer match.
The OW Committee recently met and the minutes are now available to view on our OW Committee page. New, younger members are now on the committee! Imogen Quirk [nee Draper] (Elizabeth, 1999-2006, now Staff), Kenzo Onumonu (Ridley, 2006-09) and Alex Dickenson (Edward, 2005-10). Please do let us know if there is anything else which you would like us to discuss at our next meeting.

The most recent event was the OW Mixed Hockey match v School X1 on Sunday March 18th 2.00 Deacons.
An excellent fast flowing match resulted in the school just beating the OW side by 4 -3. Thanks to Alex Dickenson for organising the OW side.

OW & School Golf Championship on Friday 22nd June West Surrey Golf Club from 12 noon. We still hope this event will go ahead but we need more OW players. Please get your entry forms in soon please.
Cricket and mixed tennis are being planned for 17th June.
Old Witleians day this year will be on Saturday 13th October and this year it will have the special emphasis of being the 60th anniversary of the first girls at Witley. Further details to follow.
We are also considering holding local reunions in Thailand, Hong Kong and Munich.
